Whatever Verdi-care accomplishes, there will likely be a discolored and pitted area underneath. This coin is a cull, I'm afraid.

Probably. One does not know until they look. Nothing to lose but time and a few drops of Verdi Care. |

I certainly will. I will be taking new photos this evening and posting a little later. I understand the value is greatly impaired but while it's disappointing it matters not to me. It sits proudly in my collection..  Edited by srs77

ok folks here are the results. After a day of using verdi-care to see if I could kill off the verdigris and hopefully improve the coin a little here she is...  Not sure it's improved any further than the original attempt but I don't believe the verdigris will eat any more... |

Oh Well life isn't perfect . Like I said 1861 is a better date , still a collectible piece . |
