Nice images but we definitely need full obverse and reverse images to help, before sending it in to get slabbed and spending your hard earned $$.
Early matt proof Lincolns are more than the shape of the rims. Certain die scratches and other markers are known and will be used for attribution by a grading company.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

It doesn't look like a proof but a cleaned Unc. Try changing the lighting and put up another photo

Normal business strike. Not a proof.

The inner photos are of the markings they look for as a proof, the cresent die chip by the M in UNUM and the die mark from the decimal between the D and B in V.D.B.? What makes you say that it is not a proof?

I am strongly inclined to think you have a really really nice business strike cent. If you feel that it is a proof I definitely would send it in to a TPG. Beautiful cent you have.

I am with the consensus that it is not a proof. But a TPG would be the final word.

Those are not the squared rims of a proof.

I recall that for at least some years, including 1909VDB, that the proof die was later used for circulation strikes - this may be the case here.

If they do reuse a die, it would only be struck once. Thus the Matte proof strike have a lot more detail Also the die strike are limited in number before they are retired.
