I found a Kennedy half with an unreadable date the other day. Guess its worth 50c, but it just might be the start of my type set of AG or below. I'd like to fill a 7070 with coins that are AG or less, but only from honest wear, not chemically or physically damaged. I wonder if an AG Ike would be available? I'd pay extra for that!

Do you have a photo of that Kennedy half?
Now comes the hard one: How will you find an AG Sacagawea?

Hmm...wait a sec! I have some Sacs that circulated in S.America...they're very worn for their age! I'll get back to you.

According to NGC report, the lowest graded Sac is a VF 2000-D piece..
Why would one send it for grading? I suspect it was an error coin, any other ideas?

OK so if our coin grading system starts with a G-1 for example, would some of the coins posted here be graded as -G-2, or -G-4. Or would there now have to be a new system using P for Poor, UG for Ugley, etc. With this system I think I've already seen a few -P-2 and even a UG-1 here.
Since this post has started something lets come up with a grading system for these and make it a permanent system. Next we contact Whitmany and have them add it to page 9 in the next addtion of the Red Book.

I found the Sac dollar that took extended leave in Ecuador. Apparently, they actually get well-used there:

I just read that they do not issue their own banknotes either. Interesting.

....yeah.....very often, it seems to be easy to forget that other countries use "our" currency.....makes you stop and think and consider a coins true "travel life" and the amount of mintage numbers that don't EVER come back here!
