AU-53-55. Color a bit mottled with details on the mushy side. I just don't see it grading higher and AU might be a bit generous. If those are rim cuts on the reverse at 2:30 and 3:30 that might knock it down to details. Overall, I don't like it, but I didn't buy it.

It's a rim Cud on the reverse, not a cut or mark.

Thanks for your opinion.

Hopefully it looks better in hand, from the photos posted it looks mushy. Hopefully you didn't pay too much. Post some photos when you get it, maybe these are just poor photos.

The obverse is a bit mottled, but it looks original and certainly has AU sharpness.

The second set of photos are mine. It looks very nice and sharp "in hand".

The coin is a light brown with faded red around the eagle and brighter red spots at the bottom of the wreath.

If we ever get some sun here is SE Wisconsin I'll take some photos in natural sun light.

AU55 as well. I'd try spot treatment for that spot on the wreath

I appreciate everyone's grading thoughts.

As I said, if we ever get some sun here I'll try some photos in natural light. That may capture some of the remaining mint red.

May 9 and I'm still wearing my winter gloves!

A few more shots taken in sunlight (for the few minutes the sun was out).

I am still not able to capture the bit of mint red around the eagle and just above base of the wreath.

It looks like it has a bit of doubling (Longacre ?) at the bottom of the wreath.

That's a piece of lint below the eagle's breast and not a mark.

Now I would be inclined to call it an au.

I didn't see any matches when I checked the " Cuds on Coins" website, so perhaps it is a new variety.

I'll be looking forward to seeing your name on the website. I've got a couple on maddieclashes.com,

but BJ bought them, so no credit.
