68s don't get graded as a 64. Ownership always adds some points.

Let's not get started on that, please.

Quote: Let's not get started on that, please. It's not trying to get started on anything, it's a bit of initial tough love to help out later. Saying I can't trust the TPG anymore because they graded what they though was a 67/68 a 64 means they aren't yet in the right mindset to improve their grading skills. When it's that far off the question should be where was I wrong, not I can't trust them.

Please post some pictures! It must be down on eye appeal, that's the #1 factor with the TPGS, followed by luster and then imperfections.

basebal - We don't even have evidence of this alleged injustice! What does "ownership always adds some points" even mean?

Quote: We don't even have evidence of this alleged injustice! A gap that wide is enough to not really need them in all honesty. Quote: What does "ownership always adds some points" even mean? That the owners/submitters of coins over grade them because they are theirs. Basically if you grade your own coin vs someone else's you grade your own higher because it's yours

Hi, I took some pics of the 82, but the holder just doesn't do it justice, I have a 1992-D in the same grade. What do you folks think is the grade for this 1992-D. It has full luster red, all the steps show on the back, its not scratched anywhere. The edges are sharp. Sorry have to work tomorrow early, so Ill ck back in the afternoon.

The 92D reverse looks like it has a plating blister in the E in Cent on the reverse and another one by the FG. also appears like there's split plating along the top of the memorial. Could be the scan though, but if they are there, there's just no way this is going to even get a MS65 average mint state grade.

If you have an iPhone the phones pictures are often much better than even some of the more expensive cameras
