Can you get a closeup of the die chip on the top of the shield? I think this has a chance of being WDDO-005.

I am not seeing the extra thickness on the date.

I have no idea what everyone else is seeing. I think this is WDDO-005, I see slight extra thickness on the date but the glare makes it difficult to spot. The die chip on the back is nearly a perfect match to that pictured for WDDO-005 but your coin is a slightly later die state so more die chips have developed to the right.

Okay, I can see the extra thickness on the date now. I think it's a later die stage of WDDO-005.

Nice job on spotting this one LOM and the attribution Tanman.
I was in agreement with Tanman from the first set of images. May have been subtle, but the 0's showed a slight "foot ball" like shape. Especially with slight contraction of thickness at 1:00 and 7:00.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.

That is how I look at it too Petespockets55.
If there was an equal amount of EVEN thickness around the two and first zero, I would have dismissed this as a thick date.
But with the thinness at the 1 and 7 o'clock I think what gives it away.

Here are the side by sides. A tough call on this one. On levels coin, the reason he is getting glare is from Machine Doubling on the bottoms of the devices. Probably be better to take an image with the lighting in the opposite direction. On Wexlers image it appears to have flattening on the zero on the date? Even with the normal coin it is still hard to tell differences. So here is it:  Not sure what to call it. Wexler's comments: Quote:

Thanks Coop for the side by sides.
Sure wish Wexler listed the Class of doubling regularly. It might help to pick up other areas to look at for any doubling or thickness.
At least we can cross check other sites, but he is the only reference for many many modern varieties.
(My apologies Tanman if your site does and guess I need to become more familiar with it.)

Most of the single squeeze dies are class 9 doubled dies. But check coppercoins and Variety Vista for the class doubled die listing.

The doubled die class system is incredibly unhelpful for single squeeze era DDs. It seems like it was made specifically for the multiple squeeze era, most of the Classes are no longer possible and very few modern ones fit in besides the Class XIII, which has numerous different explanations depending on where you look. I believe a new system could be created for the single squeezes since there are obvious different types (Extra thickness and slight doubling at the center).
I'll try to add the classes for multiple squeeze era DDs, but it's basically useless for the modern ones.
