MS-63, minor reflectivity. I won't comment on the film.

MS64 tops. not sure about the reverse, could be palm print from handling or a non-issue. Impossible to determine PL qualities. coin must be placed on edge on newsprint to show depth of field

@ panzaldi....
Is it possible to do that with the coin in the slab? I'm gonna see if I can accomplish that PL test...

Jayyk31...if its NGC slabbed isn't the grade listed already and any designations like PL? if PL is not listed then it probably is not.

I'd have to say 64 easily.

@ panzaldi...
Yes it is. NGC graded it ms65 but I believe its pl or dmpl. I think they missed the mark on this one but I'm no expert. I just did a small video of the reflection like you said. I'm gonna try to post it.

The 65 grade doesn't surprise me.

It probably missed the PL designation because of the die polish lines on the reverse. All fields must reflect to be PL or DMPL.

The obverse looks PL in the video, but the reverse is pretty borderline. That's likely why they didn't designate it PL.

sure looks PL. when you check for PL do not move the coin around. place the coin on its bottom edge. use newspaper or a magazine that has wording on it and if you can place a ruler straight out from the coin it would help determine depth. the further out you can read the deeper the mirror
here is NGC's test for proof likes
* Semi-Prooflike (SPL) - 1 to 2 inches, devices must be frosted * Prooflike (PL) - 2 to 4 inches of reflectivity * Deep Mirror Prooflike (DMPL) - More than 4 inches * Ultra Prooflike (UPL) - At least 8 inches

Thanks guys, yeah that's what I kind of thought to myself that possibly those polishing lines are what killed the PL desig.... Let's just say it was actually good enough to step up to PL, would it be PL65 as well? Or do they assign another numerical #? Price jump between the 2 would be worth it to me. I'm gonna do some more PL tests and see what happens.

Well I busted it out of the NGC plastic and now she resides in another TPG Slab! I gotta say I believe this is the exact grade It should be. I think ANACS nailed it! Not sure why NGC didn't want to give the PL des and instead gave it ms65? Sure it would be nice to have it 65PL but I think that's too much to ask. It's the exact grade it should be now!
