Should we all pull in our resources and make a bid. I'll do $10 and want a pound of silver, you all can keep the Picasso, I have no place to hang it.

Don't wish for it! I had a neighbor pass away and I was asked if I could look through all there stuff, I separated the coins into piles of not worth anything, worth a little and worth more than a little, majority wasn't worth much, all good stuff was harshly cleaned and just worth melt. After doing this I didn't get a thank you all I got was did you take anything worth money? I was like (some nasty words you can't say on here). I won't help anyone else, took a few nights if my time to be treated like that. Sell it on ebay!

Very weird . Seller took it down then relisted it again with a 99¢ starting bid . No date of bidding ends . Added more information about the lot .

I've always thought it would be fun to list a lot like that, especially when you're a new seller and get a "no fees on 5 items" offer. With so little actually visible, it could go either way... either the seller could make off like a bandit, or else the buyer would... I dont think there is a significant chance that two people would both bid at the "right" price and then refuse to bid again. I've been on both sides of that fence as both a seller and a buyer! Several years back I was actually put in charge of liquidating an estate coin collection that was a lot more than the typical handful of silver coins and jar of wheat cents: http://goccf.com/t/165818The more I think on it, the more I wish I had done an ebay spread for these! Probably would have gotten a lot more than the $7500 the coin shop gave the owner...
