The coin is a 1983 D Washington quarter dollar. the XF-40-45 I don't see in my book anywhere? I looked on the link I was given it said this coin is worth $1.15 thanks

Your links are still dead A 1983D Washington quarter is only worth more than 25 cents if it is a solid MS coin, otherwise it is face value.

I finally found your problem (took me long enough). You have a space embedded in the link, but the forum does not like that. Remove the 'space' from the filename all will be well. I renamed and uploaded the photos to CCF. Here are your pictures:

Now that I can see them, I have to agree that based on those pictures it is not an MS coin. Sorry.

Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

That is certainly true and the 82s and 83s are no ordinary quarters in MS grades. However, based on the comments by the few that have actually seen these "mysterious" pictures, this is just an ordinary circulated quarter- that is the point I was trying to make.

I renamed the pictures and uploaded them so all can see: EDIT: I edited my earlier post to fix those images as well.

Yea, pictures It is actually a pretty nice looking 1983. I would say that it is lightly circulated and I would grade it AU. That does not necessarily make it worth anything, however it is much nicer than the average 1983D Washington quarter floating around in circulation- for that reason, it is a keeper FYI, the reason that 1982 and 1983 coins are generally more valuable that other contemporary issues is the fact that no official US Mint Sets were issued in those years. The annual sets serve as a reserve of uncirculated coins for each year- an average of 1-2 million fully mint state coins for each year and mint. The vast majority of the 1982 and 83 coins went directly into commerce with few set aside. In average circulated grades, they are completely common but AU-MS grades are conditionally rare.
