That's a truly wonderful coin. Glad to see it back. Not only is this a scarce error, but the eye appeal is wonderful. The smooth chocolate brown surfaces along with the strong secondary images are extremely attractive and would be a big part in the premium this coin would bring at sale. Normally I'd value this at around $300-325, though given the eye appeal I'd say this could fetch as high as $400.

Thanks to you all for your input. I'm happy to hear that you all think it looks good in the slab, I do too. I've got no intention of selling it - yet. If I do I will definitely put up a post here. I'm sure glad I didn't part with it in the 70's when I was told that it was a common error by a dealer.

The True View Photos are Amazing. Count me in with the "let us know crowd" if you ever decide to depart with it. Definitely my cup of tea.

Very nice Double struck! I have been collecting Indian Errors for 25 years and have 3 double struck IHCs. Generally they go for $300 a piece in circulated conditions and $500 for AU+.
