FINAL GRADE: MS63 FB

I to thought 65/66 FB.

Most of my graded are much below what I thought, except the 1979-S Morgan you guys called MS-63 and it was. But no PL. Mirrors are clear and deep. 6" out items clear. Just sayin.

All others way low. 1880-0's most of you called MS 64/66, came back AU-55/58. New Orlean's to. Known problem strikes. BUT....ANA standards. You guys did not have advantage of in-hand. Moving on.

Are you kidding me . I don't see any hits ,scratches or marks on this coin to get a 63 grade .
Just another example of a TPG mess up . And also another example of why I don't collect slabbed coins .

I think PCGS photo work makes the coin look better than it does in hand.

IndianGoldEagle...it's a rare thing for me to disagree with a Bedrock of your stature, but in-hand this bad boy is sweet. Great luster, cartwheel. It is a very nice looking coin and the Trueview is not bad, but in this case, does not look better than in-hand.

The only coin I have posted thus far, that I felt Trueview gave a pretty close condition, was the 1926 Mercury I added yesterday. But even that looks better in-hand, and now in its slab. A beauty. Hate the grade, but it is what it is.

The 1898 Morgan I posted, looks really nice in the Trueview but lacks almost all of its superb luster and deep mirrors. Hard to see with the dark toning even in-hand, but that Morgan in-hand is beyond sweet. With correct light, the mirrors and colors are crazy sweet on this odd color scheme. Love this coin. Have not been one like it yet. The "Dark Knight" A favorite. I wish I could show that coin to all of you.

All others look good in Trueview, but lack some things. I think though, that being a Trueview, and sourced from same company, with same gear/techniques, I can compare my coins and grades to similar Trueview graded coins for a level playing field like comparison. I did. And I will tell you, I just don't get it on one hand, but on the other hand, with excellent explanations from many of you bedrocks/pillars, I do get it.

As always though....I reserve the right to whine.
Lol

BuyGuns, the PCGS photos make this coin look MS-65FSB. The only thing I could think of as to why they went 63 on it was that we aren't seeing something in these photos. For 63 money I'd say you got a great deal.
