Quote: I used Dimes as flat head screwdrivers I almost forgot about that! I also have done so in a pinch (it beats walking to the garage to find a real screwdriver. Also, I remember a few months ago I used a quarter to open the bottom of my vacuum cleaner to change the belt. Just a 90-degree turn on three plastic 'bolts' and the piece pops right off.

I've used Zincolns as washers by drilling a hole in them. You can't buy a washer for a penny....
