I have a DSLR mounted on a microscope stand with a bellows and enlarging lens...dedicated to shooting coins. I use a couple gooseneck led lights with tissue wrapped over them as diffusers. There is a TON of info on this forum in the coin photography section. As a matter of fact, there is a 10 page thread started in 2015 by me, and it shows my learning process. Lots of great help from other members!

That's a beauty! There is something between the E and N on the reverse. So MS69 I'll say

Thank you for the info, yes I've looked extensively and tried to duplicate, just never seems to turn out as well.

Microscope rather than a tripod seems to be a running theme I need to try.

Envious of your coin and photo skills :)

I'd have to agree with MS69, maybe my eyes play tricks but I feel like I see little 'spots' like in the field beside the shield next to E Pluribus...

Your picture skills are killer though

However; this grade for this coin is fairly common.

Not really. MS69 is common,but a 70 is not.

Agreed. 70 is not as common as 69 but it's fairly common, don't you think?

MS70 is about 1/4 compared to the MS69 going by your chart, and going by prices for the 70 vs 69 I guess we all have to make up our own minds. Just curious, where is that pop you posted from?

68, maybe 69 but it's REALLY hard to use photos for grading at this level.

Thad, I know what you mean, and I agree with your assessment in hand. Probably a 68 with a shot at 69.
