Not sure if this is helping - but that date looks an awful lot like 1327.

Wrong piece of the Ottoman Empire. Try "Turkey". 10 para, KM# 760.

Though personally, I'd prefer to see all the various pieces of the Empire listed in one place in the catalogues, under "O" for Ottoman.

Sap- ah, now I see. Thanks!

So how do I determine which exact year this coin was minted? I'm just not quite sure how you differentiate between the years AH1327//2 (1910) - AH1327//8 (1916).

Well, there is usually the denomination of the coin, and a year. Yours looks like year 4 at a quick glance

I stand corrected, looks like a 6 to me. The year is below the middle of the "obverse" right above the line on the right side of the line.

HippieOutcast- Honestly, no. I just picked this one up today out of my dealer's junk box. I realized recently that I had very few coins from the middle east and wanted a bit of a challenge in figuring out the country and date.
