Looks like a well place contact mark. Note how it is incuse on the design. If it were hub doubling it would be raised, not incuse. The reason I figured out it was not Machine Doubling is that area is the only affected area. So it is a contact mark from another coin. On a doubled die, it would be raised and not incuse. There is one example I've seen of this doubling on the head: See how it is raised? Also other hub doubling is present also.

If you read the original post, its about the column that looks like a tilted DDR in the bay with Lincoln. He posted more pics because I asked him to. I was looking for a wider view to see if there was an other die gouges that could have went up in that direction. I think it could be listed as DDR. Cant hurt sending it in to get looked at in hand. I thought this one could have been the oldest with a doubled column but Wexler has a 59 listed. I would give it a shot.

The area on the right side of the head is incuse. Your third image on the first set, shows the incuse mark the best. Just coin damage. Just realized I was looking in the wrong place. Sorry

I would send it to Wexler: http://www.doubleddie.com or you can send it to http://www.coppercoins.com. Don't know whos doing what at Variety Vista anymore and dont know if CONECA has their service up yet. I wouldnt get it graded, its not worth it. This is just to get it listed on the site if they attribute it as a DDR

It's ok. Only one of the coins has that half a head thing going on. They both have the chainsaw looking arm

I think is likely a DDR as well. Quote: So where do I send it you guys? Would PCGS attribute stuff never listed? I would follow Kloccwork419's advice and go through Wexler: http://www.doubleddie.com/402401.htmlPCGS would not label this even if it was confirmed. They only label the select few varieties that get listed in the CherryPickers' Guide book. ANACS, however, would label this if you provide proper attribution #'s.

It does not look like a contact mark,it is too smooth and rounded to be damage, but if not a DDR then it could be a Die gouge.
