These old ones are MUCH nicer and more beautiful than the modern commemoratives that were poorly designed and minted by the billion.  Edited by Sir Ferrari

I used to collect Commems back in the early 80s and they are in my opinion some of the prettiest coins ever made by any country.....I think my favorite was the oregon trail half dollar....The design was really cool!

Have to admit I've never paid attention to older commemoratives. Looking at that coin I see that is my loss. Beautiful coin!

Honestly, I really like the look of American Coins; possibly more than Canadian coins. American coins look so raw and bad-ass, like the type of artwork you can use as a Tattoo. The coins feels and looks beefy, it's a REAL " Chunk of change". When I saw that coin, I thought, "That's a Bad-Ass coin!". It's probably not the most professional numismatics term when viewing coins, but that's how I feel.  Edited by Coinage
