I guess the coppers really will become the next wheat cents. The numbers of roll hunters just keeps growing so the #s are being put away, however with BILLIONS and Billions minted. For example from 1975 thru 1979 there were over 46 billion cents produced. Thatsa lotta copper, enough for everyone if they care to go for it. Penny roll hunting has rekindled my coin collecting spirit. I got bummed out with all the fakes and reslabbing and greed among the slab people. That, with million dollar coins dominating the periodicals, had soured me on collecting. Thanks to the Coin Community forums, I have a new interest. In keeping with the topic, I find, on average, 10-12 coppers per roll(south Florida), with a wheatie every 2 or 3 rolls. I've also found coins from 5 different foreign countries and 6 dimes (how did they get in there?). Banks closed today (MLK) so I'll be out tomorrow stocking up for the week. Sorry to be so long winded.

I find about 15% to 20% coppers and about 3 wheats per box and a lot of Canada cents. I also find a lot of Bar On Columns and quite a few varieties, every once in a while an error. John1

NW Arkansas seems to run about 20-30 percent overall. Sometimes it's more, sometimes less of course. I've been seeing some really near BU and a ton of AU from the Mid-70's lately along with the more common grades.
