I've gone to every bank in town. I've had my Father go to every bank in his town. There are none around me. Ok. Fine. I broke down and bought a few rolls on e-bay paying an average of $7.69 a roll. Looking thought the auctions, I realized there were a BUNCH.

Q:Do you think ANY of these have made it into circulation or are all of them in collectors hands waiting to be sold at a premium?.

Thanks,

A.

A log cabin is hard to find in circulation because people aren't keen on using such method of payment - it's heavy, difficult to move, and we need specialists to assess the value of the logs..

J/k. I'll stop being a smartass now.

I got 2 in change yesterday. I started to go back and get all they had, but I didn't. Has anyone else found any? How much of a premium is there for them?

That is funny!

Actually, I believe that what is thought to be Lincolns cabin, where he was born, and what is depicted on the reverse of the 2009 Lincoln Cent, has been moved on several occasions.
It has traveled as a kit of some kind, and considerable distances.
There is some question on the age of the wood, some of the logs may have been replaced, and it might be smaller now than it's original size.
I saw a show on the History channel around Lincolns birthday where they drilled into the logs to read the growth rings and can date the logs that way.

You would need to go to forestry school to grade the lumber. Slabbing them would be done at the sawmill.
