We haven't seen any here in Massachusetts yet, however I've seen reports from Denver and Las Vegas of the new Cents in circulation. I figure I see them in circulation here by May, 2013. ~ Jim

I picked up 10 loose new pennies from a teller last week. They were sitting in her rack for change. There wasn't much left of the box they came from. Scored 3 rolls. Whoopiee!!nlp

So, they are circulating. Just at a trickle it would seem.

I thought of a new one. "I've never heard of this place called Circ. but I'm sure there are log cabins there". Yeah, Booo.

This morning, buying coffee, (.91 Cents by the way !...) I received my change and noticed one shiny Cent gleaming with the artificial lighting at the gas station. I didn't DARE to hope that it could be !
I held my hand tightly around the change and began walking back to my truck through the steady rain. I got into my truck......turned down the radio and began salivating.
I turned on the inside light in my vehicle to see better.....opened my hand, and carefully peered closely at the coins........

NO SUCH LUCK ! ........NADA !....... GIPPED ! .....IT WAS ANOTHER 2008 !! .....NO LOG CABIN FOR ME YET !.......DANG IT ! .....(and today is the 13th too....hoping to make that a "lucky number")
I gotta say.....I felt like little Charlie in the original Willy Wonka And the Chocolate Factory. You know where he keeps going out buying Wonka bars trying to find the "Golden Ticket"....except in this case, it's the "Log Cabin Cent".......

The problem for me is, someone has to bring one into town in their pocket, then spend it. I still haven't found a HI quarter yet. It gonna be months before I find an 09 cent.
