Agree--it's a die chip. Cuds are directly associated with the rim. Does look like the emergence of a retained die break from the wheat stalk to the rim--note the hint of die cracks. Good candidate for saving in a 2x2.

Can't tell for sure, but doesn't it look like a die crack by the chip? Could that eventually turn into a Cud? Still learning here.

Abe is talking a little bath but when he's done I'll try to post a close up because I do agree that from the chip there does appear to be a slight crack put to the rim. When originally posted I mentioned a DDO but I'm not hearing anything back on that. Thoughts?

I don't see a DDO but let's see what he looks like after his bath. Get a close up shot of RTY and how does his eye look?

Bathed in acetone! I'm not sure why the photos are rotates. It's perplexing to me. I assure you on my phone they are north/south orientation. I'll try but ?

There you go!
Any particular brand of acetone? That does look nice. I just found a few of these. Fun to keep.

Brand does not matter as long as it is 100% pure and not standard nail polish remover. John1

The rotation issue is a regular thing here, mostly with cell phones. I think though, if you click on preview before you click on post, you will have the opportunity of fixing any issues with your photos before you post them. John1

So did anyone think a DDO? I'm not thinking a DDO3 as I don't see the eye doubling but I am thunking a DDO4 per VV. Thoughts?
