Great selection! I occasionally get Canadian and American quarters in bank bags of 10p coins in England.

Nice finds. Some of the ring-ins I find in 'sorted' coin bags really amaze me as to how they ever made it through the coin sorting machines.

It's fun to see how even though we are across the world an interest connects us. Though the only time I think iv met an Asian enthusiastic numismatic is on my music thread.

I have a several songs I need to listen to while roll bunting, iv just been to focused on these pennies and my son:). As for machines guessing what a coin is, I have put a quarter into a vending machine and it was recognized as 1$ as for coinstar I dumped about 60 dimes in with 95$ worth of other change and it recognized my dimes as Penny's. Mechanical errors just like any other mass production with machines.

This is a new one for me, usually the foreign coins I find are worth less then the value of the coin missing.

Found it in a dime roll.

I have found at least another half dozen or so foreign coins since I posted this so I figured I'd update. Most of them are buried on my desk, this one I found yesterday in a dime roll, haven't seen this one before

Didn't want to crop all the coin pics individually here are some of my more recent forign finds. Some iv looked up other I haven't. Lots of variety. I have a few more around that I'll round up and post eventually. Not sure if there is anything I should look for with these or if there is varieties so if you see anything that I should take a closer look at lemme know.

Managed to find some of my other newer forign coin roll finds. My son set up a bit and managed to get up high enough to make a bit of a mess. Some of these I couldn't tell what was obverse or reverse lol.

I'm pretty amazed at the diversity of forign coins iv been finding. Haven't found any forign silver but still coins from all around the world. Some of the ones iv found are quite beautiful, others a little creepy lol but I'm sure it's because I don't know anything about them. The NZ ones with the big statue thing holding what babies is probably the one that weirded me out the most lol. I'll have to do some research so I know what it represents.

Also I will have to look up the animal on the Australian coin, it looks like a platypus/porkupine hybrid lol

Found one more. Think this is it for all my forign finds in the last while. I gave a few away to people at work like a coin from Portugal and a few others.

This one is quite nice, I like sea turtles:p.

Also, the Australian animal is an echidnas. That's a tough work to spell by sounding it out lol. My first try spelling was achidna lol

3 new finds from today so far from a box of nickels. I'm going to bed soon but was happy to find these first. Love adding new world coins to my collection.

Fantastic examples!

It almost makes me want to start searching again, but I doubt I would be as successful. It was very rare to find anything other than US or Canadian coins when I roll hunted way back when.

Princetane has done a great thread about New Zealand coins - you'll find a description of the 20c coin here:

Thanks for the link Numisrob, started reading it through a bit but to tiered to finish lol. I'll give it a good read when I wake up tonight. I'll have to research them all individually so I can label them correctly. I might make a trip back to the bank before bed and see if I can get another box of nickels. I'll keep posting my finds here. When I finally do get to label them all I catalogue it here.
