Oh great !...Wish we would hurry up and get this debate settled one way or the other !........I'd sure like to know ... Maybe we'll have to wait until they release the "final mintage numbers" for the 2009 Native American dollar.....and then see what they show for the 2008 Sacagawea Golden Dollar is officially listed in comparison. By then, at that time, any errors in numbers between this "same but different" coin would/should be noticed and corrected for certain

Daviscfad...
I checked here at the U.S. Mint website under Product Index - Items currently available, and it didn't say "No longer available" there as it does with other 2008 stuff. So, I thought one could still get them.

Wow....I'm REALLY glad I ordered 3 sets of the Kennedy's! Rec'd them last week and today they are GONE from the mint website. I think these will turn out to be a great investment. I suspect I could now sell them on ebay at nearly 2x what I paid.

BadThad.....daviscfad...... Quote: Eagle the 08 Kennedys are no longer available..
Nope.......NOT GONE OR TOO LATE TO ORDER THEM !I just ordered 2 more sets of the 2008 Kennedy P&D two roll sets and one set of the 2009. Also a 2009 proof Territorial Qtr. Set..... Notice on the order it says "IN STOCK".HERE'S MY "ORDER RECEIPT" THAT I COPIED AND PASTED FOR YA FOR EVIDENCE. Product Name Quantity Price (each) Total Availability Gift Box Product Ship Date 2008 Kennedy Half-Dollar Two-Roll Set (2D9) 2 $32.95 $65.90 In Stock N United States Mint 2009 District of Columbia & U.S. Territories Quarters Proof Set™ (Q09) 1 $14.95 - $14.95 In Stock N 2009 Kennedy Half-Dollar Two-Roll Set (2E9) 1 $32.95 $32.95 In Stock N Subtotal (w/o Shipping & Handling) $113.80 Shipping & Handling (includes any Gift Box charges) $4.95 Total Order $118.75 I placed this order just 30 seconds ago............. GO TO "PRODUCT INDEX" (3rd Page) LIKE I MENTIONED UP ABOVE. NOT "BAGS & ROLLS" WHERE THE KENNEDY '08'S USED TO BE FOR SALE....YOU CAN PLACE THE ORDER THERE.It's just that the Mint took the 2008 Kennedys down for sale from the "bags & rolls" area and put them in the "Product Index" area. This is true unless they will be sending me an email saying that my order cannot be filled for those. But they ARE there and YOU CAN order them and it DOES NOT say "no longer available".

They are on the 3rd page right at the very top (there are 6 or 7 pages of stuff) in the "Product Index". Having just ordered them from there, if they're not showing up on yours that way.....that's a mystery !

I know right it is a mystery when I click on product index I get 4 pages of stuff and I did not see the halves unless I use your link... I dont trust the no longer available chart b/c it does not show the 2008 sacs no longer available.. That is why I thought the kennedys were sold out b/c I could not and can still not find them on the mint website unless I use your link

I don't know about rolls, but as to individual coins, they are not uncommon in the teller drawers here. I usually see one or two every other time I am in.

Quote: Do banks get Sacagaweas dollars in rolls? Sometimes banks have them, but you can expect most all of them will be 2000, 2001, or 2009 dated. None of the 2002 thru 2008 Sacs were released into general circulation, so you're not likely to find them at banks.
