Quote: In order to accomplish this, do you submit coins for CAC or Eagle Eye yourself, or must they have it to start with? Just curious. Excellent question! 1. I don't want to take on the financial risk of buying a coin without a CAC, and then not having it get a CAC upon submission. 2. I've spoken with Rick, and with his help I've been learning the details of his "PDS" grading system: Planchet, Die State, and Strike, five points for each, for a maximum of 15 points. So some of the coins I've bought with just a CAC, and then sent them to Rick to get the Photo Seal applied. Steve

Great coin, and wonderful set. You've set yourself a high bar, but the IHC set is coming along very nicely!

VERY attractive example! I can see why you chose it and why it got both stamps of approval. Congrats!

My FE/IHC set is complete in MS. All are -63 or higher except the 1856 FE; it's a PCGS MS-62 S-3. But your MS65RB/CAC/Eagle Eye or better set will significantly outdo mine. Two asides: 1. NGC does not recognize any uncirculated 1856 FE as MS. They grade them all PF. And I heard a rumor that PCGS will no longer grade any as MS. Is that so? 2. One of my less that brilliant moves. I had an IHC with an Eagle Eye sticker. At the time I didn't know what that was so I removed it. D'oh!

I own only one Flying Eagle cent for my Dansco 7070 Type Set, and it's not 1856. For #2, GOOD NEWS! Go to Rick's website at indiancent.com (cent is singular), then click on Photo Seal in the top black horizontal border, then enter the cert number in the horizontal box called "Photo Seal Lookup", then click on the "Lookup" button just underneath. That will show if your coin is in his database as an approved PS coin. Presumably it is. Then contact Rick, and he'll reapply the sticker, and also provide you the plasticized card that you might not have, and if photos are not already in his database where you did your search, he'll add photos once he has your coin in hand. Let us know how you make out! Steve

I'll have to check first to make sure I still own it, and if I do take Steve's suggestion and check out Rick's website.

@kanga and @hokiefan_82 - When you go to his website, I suggest you first plug in the cert # from my coin shown in the OP, so you can see what a positive result looks like. However, on many of the coins stickered early on, you may not see the photos, but you WILL see the date of the coin appear, along with the TPG grade (never the PDS grade, as that function is not yet set up). If you plug in a cert # on a coin not stickered with the Eagle Eye Photo Seal, basically nothing happens. It does NOT say "No Sticker", or anything like that. Nothing happens. Let me know how you each make out! Steve

Thanks, Steve. The one I remembered removing the sticker from I must have sold at some point or traded at a show, as none of my current Indian Head cents (nor Flying Eagle cent) show up on the cert lookup. Oh, well!

Oh, well! One thing you (and others) can consider: send your Flying Eagles and IHC's to Rick. First download the submission form from his website http://www.indiancent.com (cent is singular). The fee is $15 per coin, but that's only for the coins that pass - coins that don't get stickered get the fees refunded. Naturally, you pay for shipping both ways. For coins that pass, not only do you get the sticker, but you also get the accompanying plasticized card signed by Rick (the size of a slab which has a color photo of your slab with the sticker), and you also get three high resolution photos of your coin that are downloadable from his website! The three photos of my coin in the OP are Rick's photos from his website. That's a lot of value for only $15! Steve
