Gentlemen, Thank you for acting fast!!!! But, I am just wondering IF there is a possibility to retain the OP's of these fakes and after they go puffffff show what the fakes actually are. there are hundreds of other members, sometimes due to time differences who now have NO idea what these look like and do not have the benefit of being able to recognise these fakes..... just asking...

Perhaps when you post the ID, you could download a picture of the counterfeit coin and either do a side by side or give a description of why you said it was counterfeit. In your heading you could give the year and denomination to make it easy to find.

I did use the link posted .. but I guess it was MM who was thankfully fast enough to whackkkkkkk it. so nothing came up to even look at it. Perhaps in the future, we could all agree to ignore CR laws ( as these crooks surely do not object) and copy first before making it puffffff and then post the images?... simply and factually for educational purposes. just another thought...

Quote: I have no idea how to handle Amazon Amazon will not do anything to remove counterfeit coins so it is no use reporting them. ebay counterfeits are the only ones worth reporting.

I don't see any images, just blank white squares where an image should be! I definitely need refresher as I took a break from serious coin collecting for a few years. I was getting to stressed and ocd with all of the fakes infecting the hobby. I just switched to pulling cool commemoratives from pocket change of friends and occasionally coin roll searching. It's how I started as a kid decades ago! It was fun and a history lesson at the same time. Then when I got serious in 2012 and started investing real money, the concern of fakes entered the scene! It doesn't help when the eye sight starts to go either. Thankfully there's different devices to enlarge images. However the fakes also improved over time! I imagine they've really perfected the technique in the almost 10 years I have joined the forum. I got so nervous, I rarely bought any deals of on ebay, unless it was a trusted dealer example Colonial Acres! So it will be interesting to catch up and see how things have changed in this area of the hobby. I instead switched to keeping tropical fish. It's another hobby which can be $ intensive at times! Are others seeing blank spaces where images should be? I'm always most appreciative of the people who take on the thankless job of reporting fakes. It saddens me that the mint, governments and police don't do more to curb this type of crime.
