Minor MAD that is within spec.
No value unless the copy runs off the edge.

Is that fairly common, just something I haven't noticed before?

Yes, it is very common in Wheat cent. I find over 20% of the ones I hunt in wheat bags have some offset.

Most coin stores will sell you bags, but chances are they've been searched.

I had no idea! Makes more cents, when closest coin shop to me is over an hour and a half away!

I buy then (carefully) on ebay. Between 0.05 and 0.08 per coin in bag of 5000 after tax and shipping. So far (15,000) all have produced enough errors worth what I paid (with valuable date/grade a bonus). Coin stores are lower value generally than bags from single time sellers. I sell the searched for copper value (or you could return them to bank).

wheat bags are readily available but why? better option is to find a coin shop, ask how they process their wheats, do they do by year and MM, than buy a roll of them to search for a variety, but only after asking coin shop and getting an answer that these rolls have not been searched. I am assuming you know the varieties for that given year and mm.

But what's going on with these variations in the strength of the letters? Might see something going on with the w up top. Also does it not look like the 6 on the date is riding a lil higher than his buddy the 5? Which got me looking closer and the base of the 1 looks to be a lil high too! Definitely a Colorado mint with those guys! Liberty looks like something going on there too?

As the dies get older and polished more and more, the edges of the devices start looking like that. Die Deterioration Doubling.

The only thing that I can see in the last series of pictures is a small die chip in the W.
Everything else can be attributed to die and circulation wear.
