Very interesting - I'm not sure it is a doubled ear - maybe from the hair above it? Could be a gouge on the die too.
What is going on with the reverse on the field under the Maya name, and is that a circulation hit on her dress just above 'Quarter'?

Dearborn, it looks like it was from a fingerprint. Came right off after using a lense cloth.

So, is it a die clash or a possible DDO?

Zoomed in on the area in question. Maybe the chin is clashed with the area under the ear?

Great overlay Yokozuna, after looking at your overlay it may be a possibility but my question with that would be, wouldn't that clash be shaped differently and in a different direction?

bugil46, I never look at YouTube when it comes to coins. However, I did this one time to see if they did. Nothing on the Denver version but plenty on the Philly version. Share that link as I would like to view that.

Sorry didn't notice mint while watching.
Probably last week in June.
It was one among many different coins.
Curiosity made me do it.

Definitely looks to be doubling of the hair curls above and to the left of the ear. Very nice DDO!

On clash marks they don't raise like this one. Maybe the first DDO example?
