Cell phone cameras often work much better than cheap "real" cameras and modern cell phones have features like auto white balance, auto focus/auto macro, and 15-20+Mp image sensors that would have been high end kit on DSLR cameras only a few years ago. They are not much use beyond a few feet, though, relying on fake (digital) zoom instead of proper lens zoom, but for things like coins they do a great job in most cases even with poor lighting.

based on these photos the coin looks VF35 (details) cleaned.

the glare just overpowers the surfaces. if you do have a phone try this

1. remove coin from holder if possible
2. turn off flash
3. place coin on flat surface with indirect natural light. maybe a window sill in a cloudy day
4. move phone about 3in from coin
5. zoom in using your fingers until the coin comes into focus
6. hold phone steady. if you cant then place something on either side of the coin at that distance and lay phone on top. this will hold it steady and allow you to zoom and take the photo without any blurring

I'll say EF sharpness, with no idea of the true color. Even if straight, which seems unlikely, not worth more than $15. Just my opinion.

Here are 2 shots with phone and light ring. I'll assume these are better for evaluation than the previous ones?

There is no blue spot on the reverse by the way. Not sure how that got past me in the shot, and, the coin was out of the flip. ?

Based on new pics I'll now say VF-30 or 35. Value around $5-6.

I can tell your last picture set is probably the most accurate depiction of the coin. Your white balance looks to be spot on. GREAT JOB!

The next time you post multiple pictures, let us know which set you think represents the coin in hand the best.
