Interesting coin. Congrats.

I don't recall seeing a Struck Through Grease with such a sharp linear feature before.

I wonder if it could have been struck on a defective planchet.

If weight is normal, then it could be a struck through something with that shape. If the weight is under slightly then it maybe a bad planchet issue that cause that issue before the strike.

IMHO this coin was struck on defective planchet. I can see the broken zinc roll. I like the coin, nice example not very much see.

I believe it's a strike through. Looks very similar in shape and texture to some nickel strike throughs I've seen recently.

(Also the weight is normal)

I'm going with damaged plan. There wouldn't be very much weight difference on a zinc planchet. So .03 sounds right. I like the name Laser eye Lincoln.

Cujohn that name is perfect. I was looking at it and thinking some kind of Marvel Lincoln character. I might send it to ANACS just to get a grade on it and slabbed.

Wow - fun find.

Ask ANACS if they will label the slab for you - the discovery coin of the Laser Eye Lincoln.

Well I had it slabbed & graded don't judge me lol. I like the coin and the error. I also posted it on the Coin Grading Forum, so just incase you didn't see it there. And I was hoping for a 64 to 65 RD and got a 66 RD. I sent it in with a bunch of other submissions.
