Quote: How did you get one of those in China already and we in Canada are still waiting to see them? Account is registered from China, but the most recent IP address shows this person is just north of you!! Certainly Steve Bromberg's coin shop in that region would have lots!!

I got a roll of the black toonies and one of them has like a scratch mark all around bear side. Through most of the letters and swirl marks in the middle of bear. Not happy with this RCM roll

Quote:Not happy with this RCM roll What were you expecting? They are not specially struck or selected coins. They are regular everyday circulation coins, exactly the same toonies you can get in change at Tim's or in rolls from your bank. The only thing special is the wrapper and the premium price tag.

I was expecting something new. I always get new rolls and give my grandchildren them as gifts. I've not been disappointed before. I wouldn't expect to order a new pair of pants and have them come ripped.

They are new, they are just damaged, likely by the rolling machine, such damage is fairly common and acceptable for circulation coins.

Would it be considered an error coin?. I don't know, just asking. Very new to this. I have so many coins I've put away over the years plus inherited ones. I don't think any are worth anything. Just ones of different dates for looking at. Not to make money on.

No, not and error or anything. Just a coin that got mishandles, one of millions.
