Yes, better pics would be helpful to assign a grade but it definitely looks cleaned and/or polished.

Between the two set of images I'm thinking MS62 is best case scenario on the 48. The fields are pretty nicked up. I know how hard it is to photograph these when they're like a mirror. Whether it would get UNC Details instead is hard to judge based on these images.
I would start separate threads on the other three coins.

I would agree on cleaned or polished.if you can get a nice price on the 45 and 48, it is not a bad way to complete a dollar set, assuming you don't mind the issues. I bought a big lot of silver coins a few years ago, which included many cleaned dollars. At the correct angle/lighting the 48 looked nice, but in hand it was not attractive. I assumed cleaned going in and paid accordingly. Here is a photo of the worst angle/light I could make. End of the day I ended up buying a nicer one because I wasnt happy with the one pictured above. But the price was right, so I was ok with the cleaned version, as it will still fetch a decent amount of money when I end up selling it. If your looking to buy, I would suggest thinking hard on it, it is a pricy coin in that condition and be sure you are happy with it.

I bought a full set from a retired dealer. When I bought it from him, I felt that the 1948 was AU and priced my offer based on that. I am going to send them in for grading and if I don't like it, just crack it out. Nobody has to agree, but Anacs has upgraded their grading capabilities with Canadian coins and they are the cheapest available. So that's plan B. Thanks for all of the help

If you have 10 coins worth grading, you could politely ask ANACS if they would apply their monthly special to Canadian coins and wait for the next special (it's currently only US Silver Eagles for Feb.). It worked for me - it was10 US coins for $169 in December 2022 and they let me use it on Canadian. Especially since you're in the US that's what I would do. They are at a lot of smaller coin shows where you can submit in person. I'm curious where "Anacs has upgraded their grading capabilities with Canadian coins" comes from. Certainly from my limited recent experience they were conservative. Some were 1-2 points lower than I expected, most were spot on, and not one was overgraded. With mine I knew that none of them had ever been cleaned though, and with yours it seems like more of a gamble.

I know it's a gamble, however, it will give me a grade and at least I will know there conditions.
