I despise photovision, even more so than Truview. I gave it a try on one coin just to see how they do, and it in no way portrayed the coin accurately. I'll stay at AU55 tops, could also see AU53, and still uncertain if it straight grades.

Could be a 53 but, I'll go with a 55 as well. Not enough details on the hair or feathers to take it up to an AU58.

Otherwise, that's a real keeper! Congrats!

What happened to the S/S? Did you ask them to attribute it?

Sadly, thought that might be the case. A bit generous with the UNC side of things, as they usually are with details designations. Unfortunate, but still a decent example.

my guess is the botchy surfaces are a marker for a cleaning that whatever was used was not rinsed properly

Yeah if it has a dull gray look it will get details cleaned in my experience with TPGs I thought this might just make it straight grade with the small pieces of luster on reverse but it didn't make it. At least its an unc details grade so it's a keeper for now or a trade in a future coin purchase.
