Nice finds...I've only recently been CRH with nickels. So far I've gone through about $300 and my best finds have been: 1 1944-P 1 1945-P 19 Buffalo nickels (dates not clear on most) I'm still looking for a 1938 and 1939 D and S, the wartime silvers, and the 1950 D. I found everything else to complete my whitman books minus those. So I think I'm off to a good start. Good luck on your hunting as well.

Those are quite the finds for just going through $300 in nickels. I'll be getting a few more boxes to go through soon so I'll update.

Out of the 19 buffalos...16 were in one roll including a 1945-P with them. I couldn't believe it myself. My sister was helping me go through that batch because she was bored and because of that find she is now wanting to start a coin collection of her own. I gave her two of the buffalos and a few various others I already had to get her started. This was fairly recently so it may have been a fluke. I did buy a lotto ticket that evening but my luck had run dry. As soon as I can I will post the pics of them. I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of my computer (haven't had it very long).

Well finally after 14 boxes I've found my first nickel from 1950! Not a D but still a 1950.

I just found a 1951P and a 1955P in the same roll!
The 1955 has 4 visible steps....I couldn't believe it when I turned the coin over.

Funny how things work. Found my 2nd 1950 in this same box along with a no date Buffalo nickel in the same roll.

my first nickel box yielded nothing spectacular but I was able to fill 4 holes in my folder. pulled a couple '39's, a few 40 D&Ps, same with the 3 41's I pulled., 55D, and a few years in between. I put a 100 or so 64s on up back into circulation. i'll hopefully have better luck with a box on saturday.

I went through a box a couple of days ago and found: a 1940 with lots of luster, probably AU-50; a no-date buffalo, a 1943-P, and a 1950.

went to pick up a box today, but instead took $100 in mixed customer and fed/bank rolls. pulled a '43S, a few other 40-somethings, and 50-somethings...nothing too amazing. filled 4 more holes in my folder though.

picked up another $100 today, after dumping $200 at my other bank. lots of 40-50s but no silver. Did find a '36S Buffalo, in F12+. Filled 5 more holes in my folder. Probably pick up another $100 tomorrow... Image Insert: Image Insert:

Congratulations on your buffalo?
I am picking up $300 tomorrow. Silver has been slow lately.
Good luck!

I think this is enough to push me over the edge and make me order my first couple of nickel boxes!
