Great luck finding that one very good find congratulations almost 25 years these have been out there and the harsh elements along with numbers certified clearly indicate the scarcity of these lovely specimens.

Super nice find! Every year a couple more get found, so while rarity remains high, these are slowly becoming more available on the market as the years tick by. But still a very tough coin to find, and yours is a really nice example. Well done indeed.

Chuckster 125, how many 1999 Wide AM's have you found? Throughout my 6 years of CRH, I've only found two. I sold one of them to a member on here.

Thanks again to all! @errers and Varietys: This is my 3rd 1999 P Wide AM coin found. The very first one was back in Feb of 2013, then May of 2018 and now this one, again 5 years later! * Don't know if anyone has ever read about the different dies on this coin, but here is a real nice read from Ken Potter's site about research done by a Mr. Lawson.* https://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles...Rev_Dies.htm

Interesting article about the number of dies and the rarity. Quote: ...(I estimate that fewer than 300 specimens are known)...
...Lawson's Reverse Die#1 being broadstruck...
Nonetheless, it is clear that at least two different reverse dies were used with at least two very distinct stages of each existing or that as many as four dies were used. More examples of these coins are needed to conclude this study.
My observations on what I have seen thus far are presented below but the real question that remains to be answered is why the issue is so rare! (Underlining is by me.) Since some of the specimens are known to be broad-struck, I wonder if the mint discovered that broad-struck coins were being produced and sent most to be canceled.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Very nice! I live a half hour from Philly and have only found 2 of these in well over a decade of searching( including a 5 gallon water bottle 10% full of bu 1999 coins) congratulations.
