this is that black coat. I think someone at the mint made a mistake. the way the mint is trying to get rid of this coating from the surface of these coins. tells me this was a problem. so far with 1932 here is what I have RDV 001- 002 - 003 - 004 - 005 - 006 - 007 of this coin I can only find 1 - 008 - 009 - 010 - 011 so you guy know now and this list is growing again everyone above except for 7 I have of each number now total of 6 coins various grades per number except for 7. I am ready to start 012. this is arrows only there is more you will see.

Rocky.
I see you're not set up to receive emails. (If) you set it up you can email Silvio or anyone here at CCF. At first I wasn't set up either because I wasn't sure if it was safe. I just don't sign up on just anything anywhere.
Unless I'm sure.
I've found there's no problem with it here at CCF.

I have a few quarters with that same problem. It's on there pretty good. I haven't tried very hard to remove it.

RobO411 when I contact Silvio the only I can we set it up. he hold his antenna then we can talk other wise forget it. if the weather is bad forget it. anyway its all good . that is not tarnish it is that black coat put on the proofs this is a coat used before they make the coin into a proof. members need to think about this issue. why because it is and issue. these coin came for the mint directly.

i have and idea. I am going to try this tomorrow. RobO411 if it works it does not damage the coin in anyway. I will let you know how it goes. what I want to try is a method we used to clean power insulator. see you can not damage these in anyway or its your life.

Dowhat here is something. I have just confirmed. I have 2 1934 Washington where the mint polished the die. they polished off the designer initials. how that can be proved is easy. the mint varnish shows there work clearly.
