I guess my initial description was a little misleading... I am more referring to the reeding like impression on the reverse. That is more of what I'm wondering is an error or not.

Still need to see the edge. As of now,it did not leave the mint like that so PMD.

Neat looking coin.
Although the images are a little hazy they are clear enough to see what you are referring to.

I agree with John1. It didn't leave the mint that way since there isn't anything at the mint that could cause this.
(A cent wouldn't fit into the striking chamber, aka collar die, for the dimes if that is what you were thinking.)
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.

Thank you all! It just caught my eye while going through the bucket of change. The edge is smooth like it is expected... Wasn't really sure on what was going on, but PMD it is.

The only thing at the mint that might cause that is the mylar sealing machine for sets of coins but I do not think it is from that. I think it is PMD.
