Probably some kind of die nick/scratch if it those small marks are raised.
The larger marks look like reed damage from another quarter.

Haha, I think you're right! My brain wants to see that pattern of light and shadow as raised, with the triangular remaining metal laying over it. But I think you have it, those are divots, not a ridge.

Yeah - just take the shape into consideration because the light makes them look raised alot of times.

Maybe try and take a different picture under different lighting. To me it just doesn't look like reeded contact marks.

Recent post about Reed Marks was proven wrong, however your coin looks to have Reed Marks. (going out on a limb here)
