I'm learning every day something new here, so it's called a RIT error? Thanks! And is it worth sending to case it or do they call it ¿to grade it?

Cool find. Definitely worthy of a 2x2. I have an old friend that collects these die chip coins.

Nice die chip. Just a FYI,die chips are not errors,it is just part of the minting process...dies wear out. John1

Yes, they are from the same die. I think there is only one 54-S RIT die, at least with anything like this size of chip.

I think the 'BIE' variety moniker is used because most error collectors understand that it means a die chip between any of the letters of LIBERTY. Some numismatic types might not understand the other terms like 'RIT' or 'LII'. It works as a catch all for this type of die chip.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!
