the coin appears to be AU so better photos are not going to help as the coin is a spender however finding a 60 yr old coin in circulation in this condtion is pretty good.

High XF range works for me. Better photos might change that.

to the CCF I can't see the surfaces in those photos so no grade estimate possible.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art

Thank you for your feedback. Does your statement "the coin is a spender" mean it isn't worth the time and effort to staple it into a flip? Not worth saving for the future? I guess I might be saving a lot of spenders... I wasn't planning on sending it off to be graded or anything like that but I thought it was worthy of saving for future consideration. I can pop it out of the flip and follow up with some better quality pics after I get my DSLR set up for macro photos. These were from a cell phone - hence the grainy appearance and poor lighting. To be continued...

A spender means not worth keeping, but keep it until you find a better one. Sending a coin in to be slabbed, the coin needs to be worth at least $100 retail after slabbing to justify all costs involved in sending it in. That photo you posted needs to be closer up. John1

sherwood315 the chances you will find any coin in circulation that has enough value to warrant grading is nil. if you have a question or concern about a coin, just post it here.
two reasons to slab
1. its a rare coin that needs authenticated and preserved 2. you are planning on selling the coin and the cost of acquisition plus the grading fee's would warrant it without chewing up all your profit
consider the following for having a coin professionally graded
PCGS charges a minimum of $69 for a subscription other subscription levels include grading vouchers though so you could reduce these costs. add to the subscription cost, per coin grading cost which I think for this one might be $23, shipping & ins both ways (1-4 coins is $27 if the total value is under $1000) i don't slab coins for these reasons especially the cost involved. I don't know why this is so popular today. just making the grading companies wealthy
NGC - $40 for grading, plus $10 for their submission fee, plus $25 for Membership, plus $28 for return shipping.
ANACS grading would be $16 but there's a 5 coin minimum. Shipping would be $29-35.

Are these better photos? I'm still working on taking macro shots. Instead of cell phone I'm using my Nikon D90 with macro filter lens tweaking the settings and lighting. Based on comparing to the PCGS photograde pages I'm going to guess around FV35.

Definitely a spender after seeing the later pics. For me, I don't keep Jeffs unless they are keys or semi keys, War Nicks, or notable errors.BTW, this would be a t-VF in my eyes, but it appears to be scratched.

Not horrible. Would be a good album hole filler until better comes along.

Yes - those are better pics. Agree that this is likely in the VF range.
Keep it if you like it, but there are literally billons of these out there and value will never be more than 5 cents.
