1972 S Penny - I Have An Error I've Never Heard About

Fyi - I'm not getting it graded for die chips, I'm getting it graded for the condition it's in. These sell high in auction if a MS67 or higher due to the scarcity.

In my humble opinion, they did so respectfully.

Your response to bobby131313 may be construed as a disrespectful and inappropriate. To give you the benefit of the doubt, perhaps you did not intend it to be so.

You have the coin in hand and therefore are best able to evaluate it.
We have only your description and posted images to evaluate... and your images are quite poor for evaluation.

Posting the best quality images possible will help others to see what you see in hand, and to provide the best feedback.
There are many posts on this forum describing methods of posting images to the site... here is one:

There are many more, you can use the search function of the site to find them.
Find what works for you. Preview before posting and you will see what others on the site see... if your image looks very close to what you see in hand, then it will likely be good enough for others to evaluate and provide better feedback.

Given the images you posted, the "feedback" you received is appropriate, and members are merely trying to help you... part of that is to try to save you money on slabbing a coin which will likely cost you more than the coin is worth.

Believe me, or not, the members here are only trying to help.
If your responses to other members' feedback appears to be disrespectful, you may not receive any feedback at all on your posts.

Update!! I went to get it looked at and the legitimate coin appraiser did sleight of hand because I got home and the penny I have now is completely different with none of those markings.

Anyone have suggestions on this one?

I'm sorry that happened too.

To be honest, I would never take my coin to a dealer unless I was 100% positive they knew their stuff.

There are 4 coin shops within an hour of me. I've talked to every one of the owners. Not one one them knows a doubled die from their butt. Seriously. Scary stuff that they are in a position where people trust they know what they're doing.

Try to be more straightforward with us next time.
