Can anyone enlighten me to this flaw in theis 2008 Alaska Quarter. It seems to have a deformed claw.

Very common, I would say 1 out of maybe 15 of that date with Alaska that I have found will have that chip on it.

In MY experience with searching many $500 boxes of quarters, the % of Alaska quarters with that die chip is much higher than 1 in 15. I do not even look at them any more.

when they first came out they called that die chip the 6th claw. Pretty much a face value coin now.
