It is a die chip and, if anything, TAKES AWAY from any value the coin would have. Die chips are very very common. A Cud is on the edge of the coin where a piece starts breaking off. Cuds aren't rare either, depending upon how big. Read the Wexler texts that I just sent you.

Lots of novice collectors here value opinions of regular users..would be a good idea to be informed about what you are dismissing as you could cost someone lots of money...like I said it's all about doing your homework so you can give a valid response.

You ARE getting knowledgeable answers from those responding, but you cast them aside. YOU are the person who hasn't researched. If your list of worthless doublings and small die chips is from the CaC site, the listings for their abnormalities are what individuals have named and submitted and not researched or TPG'd. And nearly ALL are worthless and common as Canada snow. Do some actual reading of researched, published papers to get your correct information, not a place where unresearched abnormalities are submitted and placed in/on the site. Read Wexler and others: https://doubleddie.com/144801.html ..... again

The 1964 dot cent referred to here is a Zoell variety. Zoell published a number of guides that identified hundreds of varieties.
The coin referred to here has a very large distinctive raised dot which, as I recall, is under the date. This is not a "1964 dot" dent.
It is hard to find and does carry a good premium. I had a nice red coin around MS63 or MS64 and as I recall I got around $50 for it. But I can say with a high degree of certainty that there are no collectors out there willing to spend $5000 on one in any condition.
