Yes, plated. I'd return them. Take care not to get finger prints on them.

I printed the return label already and will slip it in the mailbox tomorrow. I had a strong suspicion and you all reinforced it. Thanks.

On reprocessed 1943 cents, look at the edge, if shiny it has been plated, if dull and looks like plain steel, then not plated

Definitely reprocessed. I'd get a refund.

Once you've seen a reprocessed coin, you'll never be fooled again.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of an original Mint State vs a reprocessed 1943 cent. The blue color is a giveaway that it's replated.

Make special note of the fine die-flow lines radiating outwards on both the obverse and reverse. These lines are evidence of an original, unaltered surface as seen in this link and originals below. Surfaces will be extremely reflective, even covering the devices like the bust and mottos in the replated cents. https://coinweek.com/counterfeit-de...steel-cents/

Nice image Yoko. Here are some originals in high grade for comparison https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin.../images/2711

These unfortunately are now common as they have been offering them forever as well as copper plating them.

Rollcellar was the seller and he has a 99.8% rating. I thought I could be assured that the coin roll would be authentic.

It's false advertising. They made it look like an old wrapper on the edges and the steel cent looking untouched on the end with a color shade that does not match what's inside.

People will brush the paper rolls with a fine wire brush to make them look old like that.
