I'll say VF-30, surfaces do not look natural.

I'm going to give it a short acetone soak. I'll post updated pictures and then maybe you guys can advise on whether Verdi-Care would be worthwhile.

I would not VC it, only Acetone for a few days

a second closer look at the surfaces makes me think the coin has already been cleaned. I can't see any signs it was harshly cleaned in a any way other than maybe a spot sitting right above the breast.

i think everyone would be surprised what verdicare would do for this. try the acetone first. you may have have to do an overnight soak on it. repost after so we can see how much, if any, was actual organic matter and then determine if verdicare would help

After a few hours of soaking in acetone. Natural evaporation, no rubbing. Top two photos are original, bottom two after the soak.

If pics are accurate, then surface color still looks unnatural.

Here is a better Pic. My bright white 100 watt bulb annihilates saturation, with some saturation added back in to accurately reflect the color it looks like coin in hand, here you go. Not sure if it changes your mind or not.

I think it looks great Hordfest. Maybe a bit more time in Acetone but personally, I would not venture from that.

i can see the difference. I would do another round of acetone on her but this helped. I think it removed most of the organic matter but I think there is still a little hanging around.

your side by side photos are showing surfaces that look like it was cleaned but not harshly. most of what we see now is surface staining. to verdicare it or not if the question. you never know what you are going to get. I think it would remove some of the staining and imbedded organic matter not removed but who know what it will enhance. I am seeing some corrosion around the stars, especially star 1-7. verdicare would enhance that. so its almost always a crap shoot.

heres the bottom line to think about. the coin will most likely detail if it was sent in like this. verdicare is not going to change that. the only thing it would do is possible clean up any remaining organics, some of the staining and protect the surfaces from any further damage, i'd like to see badthad's comment on it but he hasnt chimed in on the thread.

I use VC extensively and it does an amazing job on most coins. IMHO, for this coin, VC chems are not at issue. But the removal of VC is - I would be concerned of breaking that nice-looking, consistent skin that lies underneath the build-up. If I was processing this coin I'd be more inclined to give it a 30 minute bath in 1-2% Sodium Sesquicarbonate solution. Then roll a large camel hair brush over the surfaces while still submerged. Baking Soda/Distilled Water dunk to neutralize and then a final Acetone phase.

I do not see any prior cleaning on this one.

Hordfest,
I do not recommend anymore conservation. As to verdicare, wait for BadThad to chime in.
