Hey, silver is silver. 1941 was a pivotal year for the United States, right up there with 1776 and 1864.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! Here's a photo of the reverse of this beauty, as requested by John1. And I agree with everyone who's mentioned the significance of the date — I like imagining what this coin might have seen in that historic year.
