Sorry to hear of your troubles.
Looks like you need to have NGC regrade that coin.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art

Am I missing something here? They labeled it a cheerios dollar with a regular back. Is there such a thing as a cheerios dollar that doesn't have a cheerios back? If it has a regular back, it would be a regular dollar. ?

@Cujohn Yes, a few of the dollar coins have been removed from the Cheerios packaging by Third Party Graders only to find regular reverse coins struck for well-used dies. It's thought that some of the original batch of FS-902 reverse coins may have been lost or damaged, and the mint replaced then later in the year with normal issue Sacagawea dollars.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Ok, I got to ask. What makes a cheerios dollar a cheerios dollar? Just being in a cheerios package, or having the different back?

I also have to ask, where in god's creation did I hide my Cheerios coins. I have looked for months in all my junk drawers & boxes. I have about 10 of them never opened or studied for the known varieties.

I also just read an article about the Cheerios Dollars and there have been some dollars found in the Cheerios packaging that were not the enhanced tailfeather version, so that throws a wrench in the works.

Yoko, thank you for catching the error on NGC's part. I just sent that to my contact (it's Stacks & Bowers) so hopefully we can figure this out

Nice catch Yoko and congrats on the coin, St. Ridley. Sorry to hear about NGC causing a delay for some financial relief for you.
It's not like the attributor had multiple varieties to pick from. Inexperience and inept comes to mind.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Quote: the 'real' Cheerios Sac Dollar had very enhanced tail feathers. That's what I'm saying. It doesn't matter where it came from. It has to have the right back to be a cheerios dollar. Even if it came out of an official packaging. Anyone who knows will bid on this as the real deal no matter what's on the label.
