Thanks everybody!

Thanks John! I had other questions for you, but I found some videos on YouTube that helped me to learn How to do the procedure to clean the coin.

Also this coin has some toning on it, do you think put it in acetone is going to harm or eliminate the tones?

what a great DDO! nice find - when buying acetone - get the good stuff. pure acetone NOT fingernail polish remover - that has impurities in it that can ruin a coin.

You are welcome Tacc!!

Thank you @Dear!!

Thank you for the information! Do you think that using EZEST is going to harm thi Zinc coin? Or is just better to use it with silver coins and use acetone for this one?

Acetone will not hurt your coin, soak it for several hours rinse with distilled water or tap water if you do not have distilled. Pat dry do not rub or touch coin without proper latex gloves.

EZEST will damage the coin.DO NOT USE IT.

Using ezest is cleaning, pure acetone is conserving...big difference.

100% pure acetone only.

Forgot to answer your question about the toning.
100% pure acetone will not remove what toning is there now, but it might stop whatever toning might have continued.
That said, the toning is not eye appealing on that coin anyways, IMHO.

Never understood why folks suggest dipping potentially expensive coins. The coin looks AU but could go MS, which would make it a registry-grade coin. Getting "details, altered surfaces" back from PCGS would not make one's day.

gigi2110,
After acetone looks better to me.

tropicalbats,
To be clear, are you talking about acetone or ezest?
With the marks on the temple and chin among others I do not think it has a chance at MS. Low AU maybe.
