Definitely not scrapes. Not seeing displaced metal or any signs of PMD. This is a Lamination.

Definitely a large lam. You can see the weakly struck bottom of the E and top of the T in the depression of the lamination. Those wouldn't be visible if it was caused by a scrape.

It does appear to be a large lamination peel that is mostly missing except for the sliver on the bottom left of the "anomaly" that looks folded over. Being able to see faint outlines of the affected design elements (like ONE CENT), is a good indicator that this is more than a scrape.

Thank you for all your comments. I am learning.

I have added some more photos at different angles for those who wanted more. I'm sorry but it's as good as it gets from a very cheap, well actually the very cheapest ! cell phone money can buy. A temp until my iphone gets fixed or replaced. I probably will let the coin go to someone who will appreciate it after I figure what, if any value it may have.

Looks like it would retail around $20.https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nk...H_Complete=1
Try ebay with a starting bid of $15 and see where it ends up.
