Here's a list of all the No S Proof Dimes....

1968 - Proof Dime (2-3 Dozen Known)
1970 - Proof Dime (400-500 Known)
1971 - Proof Nickel (500-600 Known)
1975 - Proof Dime (2 Known)
1983 - Proof Dime (800-1000 Known)

Cool but I live in Wisconsin I doubt my Dead Aunty had it polished just to throw it in her Coin collection to mess with who ever ended up with it. It might be worth the effort to have it further looked at. TY FOR THE replys and I need a better camera thats not a potatoe and post a better pic that one doesn't do it justice.

A look at the edge may indicate whether its plated or not.

I agree, I'm sure she didn't do that. The life of a coin in circulation is usually a mystery before
it finds itself in your hands. There's no way of telling who had it, or how many different people had it or what anyone may have done to it along the way. Good luck figuring out the mystery.

I agree it looks plated (highly polished).
Look for the copper strip in the center of the reeds along the edge like Seeker101 suggested. If you see it, it's probably not plated.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.

Were do you get something like this plated and who really has money for this? Nobody I know lol only 1 way to be sure ill waste the 70 bucks have it graded ill re post the result

Wild guess, but a worker at a chrome plating service got bored and "tested" their equipment.
