A pic of the rim--end on--would be useful. At this point, the coin appears to have been replated.

looks reprocessed - which means it would get a 'details' grade if you were to send it in..

Look at the edge of the coin.
If it is shiny like the obverse and reverse, then it has been replated.
If you can see layers of zinc coating over a steel core, then it is original.
My money is that it has been replated which means it has no numismatic value.

The surfaces do look off. Here's a split image of an Uncirculated and replated/reprocessed steel cent.

I don't know if it was reprocessed or not but it definitely came out of a penny roll I got from the bank.

pictures without the bag. Its possible my phone camera is altering the image. Do people re-plate zinc pennies and put back into circulation?

Did you look at the edge yet to see if it was replated or not?
Still waiting for a picture of the edge but 99% sure it is replated.

with all, appears to be reprocessed and an edge pic would help confirm.

Yes, they make their way into circulation for various reasons.

From what I've gleaned from others on this site, the shiny edge pics to indeed confirm a plated / reprocessed coin.
And this is considered Post Mint Damage ( PMD).

Thanks for the pic!
