Take a look at the seller's 1932-D and 1932-S Washington quarters, too. Those pics need to be saved as well. The seller's 1921-D Merc pic is so small it isn't identifiable and isn't worth saving.

So was this entire coin faked or did they just add a D to a Philly 1914?

Absolutely no surprise there, unfortunately ebay has not only been flooded with fakes, worst part is when you try to help and report it they brush it off and claim they looked into it....
This happened a couple of weeks ago when I reported a fake error and got the same respond from ebay:

Thanks again for reporting the listing(s) you found.
What happened:

We looked into your report and didn't find the listing to be in violation of our policy.( obviously ebay policy allows FAKE ITEMS) This determination was made by a customer service agent.

If you reported content that isn't listed below, we'll send a separate email once we've made a decision.

Your reference ID:
2-192736437240

Here are the listings you reported that are included in this decision:
1953-D Lincoln Cent UNIQUE DIE BRAKE "SHOW TEETH" ERROR

Thank you for being part of the ebay community.
Thanks,
eBay

Fully FAKE coins. They started putting them in tumblers a few years ago to artificially wear them in an attempt to conceal. This is a prime example.

I wonder if the seller knows their coins are fake and is trying to hide it with bad pictures.

FYI - issues with the coin

1) Date/mintmark position of auction coin does not match a genuine coin die (see attached)

2) Coin reverse - left inside wheat has a die chip found on multiple batches of counterfeit Lincoln Cents with a variety of dates & mintmarks. If the die chip is there (above & to the left of United on wheat stalk edge) - it's counterfeit....

I don't think so... if it is the seller he/she either knows it is a fake or don't care if it is and don't research it.
If it is the buyer, he/she does not know better due to their lack of experience and being new in the hobby.

That's what I thought. I'm no expert on this date, but I do know the mintmark tends to be much lower and off center than this one. It's like this one is too perfect.
